Rare, very hard to find large format photograph from lensman Bob Mizer/Athletic Model Guild, a 1950s image featuring tough guy Joe Napolie in a stark studio photo, as he's shot from a low angle while resting his arms on the trapeze overhead. A dynamic image that has a definite contemporary quality...a very brash editorial aesthetic. Note: This was scanned in two passes and joined. Size/Condition: 16"x 20". Vintage silver gelatin photograph, printed on double weight fiber paper with a smooth, medium lustre surface. In overall great condition: Small crescent mark above trapeze bar, two short pieces of tape to reverse top edge (previous matting hinges). Unmarked, undated.
