Paul Aichele 19thC Academic Nude Male Bronze Sculpture

Wonderful antique sculpture by Paul Aichele (German, 1859-1910), estimated to be circa 1890-1900.

A classic and beautifully executed academic nude male figure study, standing with arms behind his back. This sculpture is sublime with it’s detail and subtle nuances to the musculature and facial features. This piece is well cast in bronze and finished in a deep, rich brown patina.

Measures 5.25”x 5.25”x 15”. In excellent antique condition with minor patina loss to some scattered high points. Has some vintage dust/dirt. Signed to the base within the casting and bears the oval foundry mark for Ernst Kraas, Berlin.
